Travis Snyder

Snap-shot

A teacher that made learning sweet for me was my second grade teacher where she taught me how to spell words using small tools that worked for me. In order to spell Family I learned each letter had a meaning.

F-Father

A-And

M-Mother

I-I

L-Love

Y-You

I used this to tell everyone I knew at that time, and I also still tell people like teachers and caregivers that in hope that someone else would use this cool skill that a remember at 22 years of age. I will use this skill to teach my own students and my son, in hopes that they will type about it to their teachers.

Another teacher in fifth grade made learning fun by splitting the room in two and asking us question from “Brain Quest” and keeping score for a competitive feel as ten year olds we all loved winning.

My remember my fourth grade teacher letting us sit on our tables and throw a ball to each other to learn names at the beginning of the school year.

Those three examples are so important in a child’s mind because if they can remember it 15 years later than it had to of had an impact learning at that time there for enjoying to learn. I truly believe that children can’t learn unless they are having fun. If the classroom has no discussion or interruptions than the subject wasn’t taught the best way it could have been.
